Our wonderful community has been giving generously to collections in aid of Ukraine.
Members of the Rotary Club of Wellington got their buckets (and cash machine!) out in the town centre on Saturday, March 19th, collecting a staggering £1,080.
The club said: “The collection will be distributed through Rotary Clubs in Poland and Ukraine to ensure that all the money goes to where it is most urgently needed.”
The Rotary tally was boosted by a further £280 collected at the Beambridge Inn where the club hold their weekly meetings every Monday.
It took the amount raised to £1,360 although that won’t be the final total as the Coffee Cellar in High Street is also accepting donations.
