Someone's Daughter, Someone's Son
A Film about Homelessness

Hereford City Rotary Club will be co-hosting a film screening with The Courtyard team in Hereford on Saturday 8th June 2024 at 5.15pm to highlight the plight of homelessness and raise much needed funds for two charities The Living Room and Hereford Veteran Support Centre, both of which do great work supporting victims of homelessness.

The film being shown is ‘Someone’s Daughter, Someone’s Son’ directed by Lorna Tucker:

Homelessness can happen to anyone and this was true for Director Lorna Tucker who brings her own experience to this documentary. When she was 15, Lorna ran away from home and ended up in London on the streets. So how did a smiling and happy seven year old end up sleeping rough and addicted to heroin just a few years later? Through her raw and heart-breaking interviews with some extraordinary individuals experiencing homelessness, you’re left with a feeling of utter sadness but also enormous hope. It’s a tender reminder that homelessness should not be considered an inevitable part of modern life.
