Tony Chambers spoke of his reflections of this charity which helped him put his life back together after service in Iraq & sadness at home through the death of a child. He joined the staff offering counselling A charity which our club has supported!!

Ann Haywood told us the hospice has provided day care since 1988 & added a 13 bed in-patient unit in 2006.It has an annual budget of £2,300,00.43 full time & 40 part time staff are helped by 536 volunteers. It has 9 shops around Durham. read more...

Tue 9th August 2016 Dorothy's Wells - named after Jim's wife

Jim O'Connor joined Bill Guymer on a visit to Nkoraya Prtimary School where the children had 1 pen between 3. It had no water or electricity, nor toilets.
Jim built his first well in May 2009. He has now built 10 across the country, some 100 feet deep.
