It was great to see Past District Governor John Quinton who welcomed President Elect Helen Bradin. Immediate Past President Ken Hawkings handed over the chain of office to his successor Dick Elston.

Fri 14th June 2019 - President's Night

We'd planned to cruise down the river from Stratford Upon Avon on the Countess of Evesham but the river was too high and fast flowing after the recent rain so we moored up in the canal basin instead. It was a lovely evening.

Wed 12th June 2019 - Kids Out

This is a national event for disabled and disadvantaged school age children, to give them a free day of fun and happiness. The Club sponsors pupils from Wilson Stuart School in Erdington on the outing to Drayton Manor Park. It was another great day out!

This is a great evening with a serious purpose – raising funds for Holy Trinity Church, Birchfield, the Extra Mile School in Sierra Leone and SIFA Fireside that seeks to improve heath and inclusion for homeless people in Birmingham.

Our fundraising efforts during the year meant we were able to present a cheque for £1000 to pay for a roof on the nursery at the school we support in Malawi.

For up to and including year 6 pupils, at Sutton Coldfield Town Football Club on the 3G floodlit pitch. This is a regular fixture on our calendar and is always very well supported.

Sun 24th March 2019 - 7 Pools Run

The 7 Pools Run is a 10KM cross country run around the seven pools in Sutton Park and is held in March every year. All the funds raised are donated to The Norman Laud Association. The Club is invited to supply marshals.

We had a really interesting visit to Penns today to hear how the pupils are actively using the dictionaries we presented to them not only in classroom activities but also helping with homework,too. We've appreciated financial support from Aviva.

What a fun evening we had, starting with fish and chips, followed by a beetle drive. The evening raised £350 to help with the Rainbow Nursery at the school we have supported previously.

It’s great to know that the solar lights the Club sponsored are having such an impact. We’re told that the school has registered a 94% pass rate of standard eight class examinations as opposed to 84%-89% last year.

We always welcome the opportunity to work with Jo James and her colleagues at Tesco, New Oscott. Recently we’ve been helping with the collection for Erdington Foodbank, along with other volunteers .Over 2 days 2307.13 kg of food was donated.
