Angela Hanvey and Chris McCrosson gave us a talk about the work of C.A.P (Christians Against Poverty) which we have supported on several occasions.

Tue 28th May 2019 St Kessog's Square

Murray Lauchlan spoke about the improvements planned for St Kessog's Square in Comrie and then received a donation of £500 from the Rotary Club of Crieff to put towards this project.

Tue 30th April 2019 The Likhumbula school project

Siobhan Bell from Morrison's Academy and her mother will be running in the Copenhagen marathon in May to raise funds for her school's sponsorship of this poor village in Malawi. She will tell us more tonight and seek our support.

Sat 13th April 2019 Stroke Awareness Day - Strathearn Community Campus

Crieff Rotary Club joined forces with health practitioners to provide a free assessment for anyone at The Campus on Saturday 13th April. 72 people attended and 23 were subsequently referred to their GPs for further advice.

Our scheduled speaker had to go into hospital but in his place, we were delighted to welcome Nigel Gatherer, a local musician (specialising in the ukulele and mandolin) who came at short notice to tell us about his musical life.

Tue 26th February 2019 Presentation to Marie Curie

The Club were delighted to be able to hand over a cheque for the sum of £250 to Estelle from Auchterarder Club as a contribution towards here forthcoming climb of Everest as a fundraising effort for Marie Curie.

Julia Barrie will join us tonight to tell us more about her charity work last summer in Fiji and for which our Club provided funds. The Think Pacific Foundation connects rural communities in Fiji to help improve their economies, using volunteers to help.

The Rotary Club of Crieff had its usual stand at this event in the Riverside Park in Comrie. Visitors talked to us about Rotary and the charities we support. Many played 'Nail in the Bale' and we raised over £200 for our funds.
