Each year, St Machar Rotary sponsors a St Machar Academy student to attend a Rotary Youth Leader Award (RYLA) course. Owen is this year’s winner and will share his thoughts about it.

Malcolm will explain Rotary International’s environmental vision and discuss why climate change is an issue for Rotary. He will suggest how Rotarians might help to look after our environment.

Thu 29th August 2019 No lunch meeting. 2.00pm - Visit to Aberdeen Harbour Expansion Project

When there are five Thursdays in a month, we try to do something different on the fifth Thursday. This time, we will visit the extension to Aberdeen Harbour that is being built near Cove. We meet at the site at 2pm. Our lunchtime meeting is cancelled.

Former member of our Club, Tom Mason MSP, will share with us some information and observations about his time in the Scottish Parliament. This will be a precursor for our visit to Holyrood in October.

Jamie is a member of the fund-raising team for The Archie Foundation, a children’s charity with a family of funds, all different, but with the same aim – to make a difference to children’s healthcare.
