Two pupils from Ysgol Dyffryn Conwy were presented with their RYLA certificates by Past President Christine Humphreys, also present was the head teacher of Ysgol Dyffryn Conwy and Rotarian Edgar Jones who is a school governor.
Last Monday the Club held its Christmas Party and were entertained with sketches from the Conwy Club and Conwy Valley resident Derek 'Stanley Holloway' Hirst gave a series of monologues the evening closed with a hand picked quartet to sing carols
Last Friday Llanrwst Town Council along with Rotarians, Lions, Soroptimists and other organisations held a Christmas Fair. Ysgol Bro Gwydir provided the nativity scene and Carol singing.
Llanrwst Spectacular Firework Display was another superb evening. Despite the drizzle it was attended by a large crowd who broke into spontaneous applause at the end.

DUCK RACE: Over 1,500 yellow ducks recently made the leap from the bridge in Betws y Coed, and none was injured! The first duck to cross the finish line was No. 957 and owned by Mr and Mrs. Devine of Brymbo near Wrexham.
Members of Conwy Valley and guests from Conwy, Soroptimist International Dyffryn Conwy were given a guided tour of the recently opened Bodnant Welsh Food Centre followed by buffet. The event was a great success.
The annual charity Bowls evening was held recently at Llanrwst Bowls Club on Gwydyr Park over £180 was raised for St. David's Hospice.
