Car boot Sale November 2014


Lance Moffat and his committee organised the car boot sale held on 15th November in the Concert Hall. All the tables were filled and there was a great attendance. 1,000 pounds was raised and 500 pounds has been donated to Barnardos.

Troon Rotary Club held a Young Musician competition at Marr College. The judges, Mrs. Dorothy Howden and Dr. David Sutherland were unanimous in selecting Katy Brown (vocal) from Marr College and Elaine Duncan (Alto Saxophone) from Hutcheson.

As a result of our fundraising activities we have donated over 6,000 pounds to End Polio Now campaign. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation will add 2dollars for every 1dollar we raise. TOTAL donated = 18,000dollars

Troon Rotarian Ian Weir presents 1st Troon Boys' Brigade, Junior Section, with a cheque for £200 to help with coach hire. Their visit to Abernethy Barcaple Centre was washed out but they were given a "Raincheck" if they could find the transport costs.
