Partners' evening and visit to the International School. Organised by Mike Daw. Our host was Director Dan Hovde Ph.D. who gave us a very interesting talk and showed the company round this well set-up establishment.

Sponsored walk on Lochnagar

This sponsored challenge is in aid of UCAN and other charities supported by the Rotary Club of Aberdeen Balgownie. Participants have the option of walking up Lochnagar (10 miles round trip) or round Loch Muick (12.5 miles). Organised by Ron Falconer

Exchange visits with Nagasaki in honour of the Scottish Samurai, Thomas Blake Glover, who lived in the community.

A delegation from the Japanese city of Nagasaki, led by the Mayor and including the President of Nagasaki Rotary Club, paid a visit to Aberdeen during October 2010. Balgownie Rotary Club has played a major part in the links between our two cities.

Seven-mile sponsored walk along the beach north of Aberdeen. Organised by Balgownie and Ellon Rotarians. As of 30 September the proceeds stood at 6350 pounds.
