RC Chestfield contributed to Stroke Awareness Day by manning a booth in Whitstable High Street handing out information to the community and offering free blood pressure checks

John Barton has made several visits to Atlanta, where he has attended a number of Rotary Club meetings (Midtown Atlanta RC) as well as visit the world headquarters of the CDC (Center for Disease Control)
Canterbury Cathedral &Time Capsule February 2009
RC Chestfield gave £750 for a feature stone to top one of the restored cathedral pinnacles. A glass paperweight with a secret grid reference to a time capsule was sealed into the void-to be found by future generations for an insight into life today
