The 2013 Tournament, held at Weston Favell Academy. All secondary schools in the county were invited to participate, but the invite didn't always get to the right person. If you want YOUR school to be involved next time get in touch (see below).

Slab-laying

We spent a couple of days clearing away the gravel, levelling off in preparation for, and laying a path of slabs so our friend John Glanister can be wheeled out of the house.

Walking Weekend 2013

This year's walking weekend was in the Malvern Hills. We stayed right in the centre of Great Malvern, at the Abbey Hotel, which abuts the Priory itself, ideal both for those who wanted to walk and those who didn't, but wanted to see the local sights.

With the support of the local authority we invited students from local schools to come along to Avenue campus of Northampton University to take part in a technology tournament. Think 'Great Egg Race', but without Professor Heinz Wolff

Paul Harris Fellows' evening

Once a year we formally honour our Paul Harris Fellows. Fellowships are awarded to those in the community who have 'put in a little more than the norm'

Monthly walk

We congregated at the Old Cherry Tree, Great Houghton in time to get booted up for a 5-miler - across the fields, down to the flood plain, back to the village and then the 'dog-walk' on the made path around the pond near Brackmills.

District Conference 2012

In an attempt to reduce costs and 'try something different' the District Conference this year was held in Telford, at the Buckatree Hall Hotel www.buckatreehallhotel.com

Each December Max uses this as a dress rehearsal for the village's boxing Day walk.

Together with some of Chris' other friends we organised a short walk, followed by a get-together and bring-and-share meal at Gt. Houghton Village Hall.
