We spent a couple of days clearing away the gravel, levelling off in preparation for, and laying a path of slabs so our friend John Glanister can be wheeled out of the house.

Abbey Hotel Great Malvern Walking Weekend 2013

This year's walking weekend was in the Malvern Hills. We stayed right in the centre of Great Malvern, at the Abbey Hotel, which abuts the Priory itself, ideal both for those who wanted to walk and those who didn't, but wanted to see the local sights.

We congregated at the Old Cherry Tree, Great Houghton in time to get booted up for a 5-miler - across the fields, down to the flood plain, back to the village and then the 'dog-walk' on the made path around the pond near Brackmills.
