May 2013 Wheelpower Rotary Club Marathon around East Anglia

Cambridge area Club presidents receive the Notebook from Sawston Club and then punt and paddle to meet the Littleport Club President at Baits Bite Lock. It started its journey in spring 2012 inspired by the wonderful Olympic and Paralympic celebrations.

Awards to the winning team Winter Comfort and YMCA the Runners up were made during the half time break of the Cambridge United' home match on Tuesday. There was also a bucket collection for Winter Comfort at the match which raised £340.

The club entertained a group of disadvantaged children from Castle School, Cambridge at Wimpole with a tour of the farm animals and a range of fun activities.

10 teams played incl. Winter Comfort, Jimmy's Night Shelter, Emmaus, and South Cambridge Rotary Club at Abbey Leisure Complex, Whitehill Road Cambridge CB5 8NT It was followed by a hot snack for all involved at 5.00 pm.

The City of Cambridge Symphony Orchestra, soloists and the Cambridge Orpheus Singers and conducted by Leon Lovett in association with Rotary Club of South Cambridge at West Road Concert Hall, Cambridge, 7.30pm for the benefit of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Young people (under 18 on 31 Aug 2010) prepared, cooked and served a three course meal for two people at an ingredient cost of not more than £15 at Impington Village College at 1.00pm.
