Blue Plaque for Captain Arthur Phillip RN. Founder of Sydney.


Captain Phillip (later Admiral Phillip) founded the settlement of Sydney and was later appointed first Govenor of New South Wales Our ceremony was at Goose Green, Lyndhurst. The blue plaque was donated by New Forest Rotary Club. Event details below

DONATION TO THE FRIENDSHIP CLUB, HORDLE


We have made a donation of £200 to a fairly new initiative called the Friendship Club in Hordle. This provides activities for adults with learning disabilities in the daytime each Wednesday. Ken Garrod presented the cheque on 25 Jan 2017.

Our jolly booze fundraiser was in action at the Brockenhurst College Carnival Ground. Nobody told the weather it was a Bank Holiday so the sun shone with gusto and we raised a profit of £124. Fred Helyer organised.
