Welcome to the website of the Rotary Club of Blackburn Borough

Blackburn Borough   President

David Wain

Blackburn was once the weaving capital of the world. It has now lost its mill chimneys with practically no  textile industry remaining.  It has diversified and is now home to a host of service, electronics and light engineering businesses. Situated some ten miles from the M6 motorway at junction31and junctions 6,5 or 4 on the M65 it is ideally positioned for access to Manchester and Leeds, the Fylde coast North Wales and the Lake District.

Founded in 1970 the Rotary Club of Blackburn Borough is the youngest of the three clubs in Blackburn and currently has 27 members.
