Message from Mohammed Aslam, President 2010-2011 

 

I have lived in Accrington for over 40 years , and I am very proud to be a member of the Rotary Club of Church and Oswaldtwistle.

Rotary is a service organisation which works across local, national and international communities to advance understanding, goodwill and peace in today's society. We are a very active Club, which helps support local organisations in a variety of ways, and does lots of fund raising for charitable cause both at home and abroad, and yet we also manage to leave time for social events. By combining our skills and resources, members of Rotary are able to make a real contribution to the lives of others

 I have chosen a great team to help me lead the Club, and hopefully we shall have great year.We are friendly, dynamic, enthusiastic and informal, we have a wide age range of members and are inclusive.               We also have fun!  

I would just like to finish with my thanks to my predecessor, David Spiller - I think he did a great job as President last year, and if I can do half as well, I will be very pleased.
