Speaker for Wed. 13th October is John Berry Chairman of Calderstones NHS Trust to address us. He will be accompanied by another Board Member Ernie Pickup.
Charter night: The annual Charter is set for Friday 29th October at The Higher Trapp Hotel. 6:30 pm for 7.00 p.m.. Black tie. Cost for the evening is £19.00 each. The menu (starter, main course and desserts followed by coffee) has been emailed to all members by the Secretary.

Padiham Rotary Club sponsors local Football team

Recent events:
A group of rotarians recently visited Leighton Hall near Carnforth. This is the Reynold's family home. The family are descended from the Gillows of furniture fame who lived at the Hall. They were hosted by Mrs Susan Reynolds who gave a detailed talk about the development of the house and in particular the fine examples of Gillows furniture…many unique to the Hall. They then enjoyed an extensive tour accompanied by Mrs Reynolds. The visit concluded with a fascinating display of various birds of prey.
