Welcome to the website of the Rotary Club of Brampton & Longtown

The Rotary Club of Brampton & Longtown was formed in 1984 with the support of the Rotary Club of Carlisle South.  Our members are active in a range of vocations and in voluntary activities in and around Carlisle & the Scottish Borders.

We strive for an informal feel to our meetings, but achieve a substantial amount of fund-raising for local charities, and community service, whilst enjoying great fellowship.

The River Esk at Longtown

We are situated in the north east corner of Cumbria.  Bounded on the North by the Scottish Borders, the West by the Solway Plain and the East by the Pennines and Northumbria. Only ½hrs drive away from the English Lake District, the Hadrian's Wall World Heritage Site and its long distance footpath is very much part of our area.  Robert Burns, Wordsworth, the Border Ballads all feed into our rich local Heritage. The River Irthing near Brampton Old Church

Our area is administered by Carlisle City Council and Cumbria County Council.
