Welcome to the website of the Rotary Club of Enfield Chase

Rotary International was founded in Chicago Illinois by Paul Harris in 1905 and now has a worldwide membership of 1.2m Rotarians in 30,000 clubs over 200 countries and geographical areas. One benefit of being a member of Rotary is that you are able, and encouraged to visit any club in the world.

The Rotary Club of Enfield Chase was chartered in 2006 and currently has a membership of 15 men and women. We are a friendly group of people who delight in welcoming visitors and new members.

During the year we put on Fund Raising events to support many worthy causes including the following charities: The Nightingale Community Hospice, SENSE for the deafblind, The Polio Plus Campaign, Shelterbox, Jaipur Limb, Sightsavers and Rotary's own charity The Rotary Foundation. Members have already contributed to "Feed the Children" to help fellow Rotarians in South Africa support hungry children in their area.

In addition, during April 2010 we shall be taking part in Rotary's Stroke Awareness and Health Day and in June we shall again be presenting dictionaries to school leavers at a local Primary school.

Hundreds of Rotary clubs across Great Britain and Ireland will be taking part in THANKS FOR LIFE on Rotary Day 23 February (the organisation's birthday) and the week around it, in an effort to raise £1 million for polio eradication. This club will be collecting in Enfield Town as well as asking local schools to arrange their own fundraising projects

If you would value the benefit of giving something back to your local community, and would enjoy doing it with a group of dynamic leaders in business and professions, contact us and introduce yourself.

We look forward to meeting you.
