 The Rotary Club of Nantwich was chartered on 1934 and currently (July 2010) has 47members plus 2 honorary members.

It is one of four clubs in the Borough of Crewe and Nantwich. The others are RC Crewe (1932), RC Crewe and Nantwich Weaver (1985) and RC Haslington (2001).

The club is one of 44 in Rotary International District 1050 which covers South Manchester and Cheshire and includes enclaves within Derbyshire and Staffordshire. The 'Nantwich' club is a 'lunch time' Club meeting on a Tuesday and with the 'Weaver Club' covers the southern extremity of the district, bordering North Shropshire.

Visiting Rotarians are most welcome as are ladies and gentlemen wishing to know more about the Rotary organisation or become members.

 

During the past year, the Club, with the help and generosity of the people of
Nantwich,
 has raised over £22000 and has supported the following local Charities:-

Donna Louise Children's Hospice

Dove Counselling Service - South Cheshire Outreach

Camm Centre, Crewe, Life Education Centres Cheshire

Wingate Centre, Wrenbury Neuromuscular Centre, Winsford

Local School's Art Competition, Outings and Lunch for Senior Citizens

 And internationally:-

The Polio Plus Campaign for the eradication of polio,

The Haiti Earthquake Disaster, Tools for self Reliance, JaipurLimb,                       

Shelter Box, Wateraid, Pen Appeal, Shoe Box, Lifebox,                                         

Farm Africa, Suryodaya School, Mothusi Project.       

STOP PRESS: POLIO IS ON THE RUN! India has now been Polio-free  for six months; 99% drop in new cases in Nigeria since January!  Just Afghanistan and Pakistan left now... Well done Rotarians!
