Welcome to the website of the Rotary Club of Sleaford

The Rotary Club of Sleaford, number 828 in District 1070, was formed in 1956 with an initial membership of 27 local business men.

The inaugural meeting was held on Tuesday 3lst January at the Lion Hotel, Sleaford.  Since then the meeting venue has changed a number of times and has been at The White Hart and The Carre Arms Hotels, Sweet Vienna Restaurant, Lafford Bar and finally at our present meeting place, The Solo Club, which is situated on the edge of Sleaford Market Place, conveniently providing parking spaces 'on the spot’.

We are a dual gender club with 40 members, all of whom partake enthusiastically in our many fund raising and social activities.

Although Sleaford is a comparatively small market town, it has two Rotary clubs, our daughter club, Sleaford Kesteven meets in the evening. We are proud of the fact that over the years the Rotary Club of Sleaford has produced two District Governors and one National President.

We have welcomed as our guests visitors from all over the world.  A sign of our success, which augers well for our future prosperity, is the fact that the age of our new members is noticeably getting younger.  We are a progressive Club with a bright future and are eager to welcome newcomers, both as members and visitors.

Why not come and sample our hospitality and fellowship at our Tuesday Lunchtime meetings at 12:30 p.m.  We also enjoy occasional  evening meetings with our partners.
