Welcome to the website of the Rotary Club of Spalding
Spalding is a market town based in the flat fertile fen land of South Lincolnshire. The main industry in is farming. Once famous for its beautiful tulip fields, the main crops grown in the area today are vegetables, cereals, potatoes, sugar beet, peas and narcissus (daffodils) bulbs. Alongside farming, associated industries such as vegetable packing, food processing, cold storage and haulage have grown up making this area one of the most important in the UK for the supply of fruit, flowers, vegetables and prepared foods to supermarkets and wholesalers.
The Rotary Club of Spalding draws its members from Spalding and the surrounding rural villages. Our club was founded in 1937, and with the exception of World War 2, has continued in unbroken Rotary service.
