London Welsh Male Voice Choir Charity Gala Concert

The London Welsh Male Voice Choir, under Musical Director Edward-Rhys Bate, is bringing its quite exceptional musical experience to Luton for a 'one night only' charity performance. The event is organised by the Rotary Club of Luton North to raise funds to support the Keech Hospice Care's children's services, and other Rotary Charities including the Rotary Campaign to END POLIO NOW.

The choir has performed at London's Royal Albert Hall, Royal Festival Hall and Wembley Stadium, Cardiff's Millennium Stadium, Paris' Stade de France and at Cathedrals including Canterbury, Winchester and Salisbury. Its prestigious reputation extends beyond the UK, with the Choir having toured extensively abroad, including the USA, Canada, Austria, Denmark, Germany, Hungary, Italy and Slovenia.
Notable engagements have included a Concert at Earls Court to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of Her Majesty's accession to the throne and a gala performance of Under Milk Wood in the presence of HRH The Prince of Wales. In contrast, the Choir was the backing group to the pop band Take That at Earls Court and has recorded with Charlotte Church, Aled Jones and Bryn Terfel.

The Male Voice Choir will be supported by the Luton based ladies choir the Pasque Harmony formed in August 2003, to allow members to share their talents and passion for music, develop them to a high standard, encouraging vocal and personal development whilst stimulating interest for new members and younger members to join us ages 16-60 years of age. In doing so, as Ambassadors for The Pasque Charity and through performances of a very wide and varied repertoire of choral items, raise funds to benefit others less fortunate through The Pasque and other charities.
