Pick-A-Fence Horse Trials	New President for 2010/11
	John Marjoribanks, our intrepid fund-raising cyclist, has taken over the Presidency of the Club and with his new Committee Chairmen is already starting to put in place his plans for a very active year in Duns. If you'd like to meet us at one of our meetings or speak to us about anything we'd be delighted to hear from you.

Duns Rotary Club is at the heart of delightful rural Berwickshire, in the eastern Scottish Borders, and about 15 miles "over the Border" from Berwick-Upon-Tweed. We were founded in 1975, with support from neighbouring Eyemouth Rotary Club. We have some 35 members and engage in an active social, fund-raising and service programme of events.
We'd be delighted to see you at any of our weekly meetings or if you could join us for one of our other events.
We are enthusiastic supporters of community and international projects and facilitate development activities for young people.

Activities Reports

Liberia

We are currently working with other Rotary clubs, with District 1020 of Rotary International and with the Rotary Foundation to establish a fund to support the work of Mary's Meals in Liberia.  It is attracting a lot of backing and we are hopeful of creating a substantial and much needed project in a country with a huge amount of deprivation.

Young Golfer Competition

In partnership with Duns Golf Club we have just completed the local round of the Rotary Young Golfer competition.  Fourteen junior golfers took part and the winners go through to the District Finals later this season.  The top four also form a team with free entry to our Charity Golf Competition, where they have an excellent track record, without actually ever having won.  Will it be different this year?
