Our Club was founded in Woolwich in 1928, the Thames Barrier and the O2 (Dome) are located within a mile or two of our meeting venue at Charlton FC. Woolwich is the home of the Royal Artillery, the regiment museum is located within the historic Royal Arsenal. The Royal Arsenal was first open to the public on 16 July 1995 when The Rotary Club of Woolwich, London Borough of Greenwich and the Royal Artillery Heritage campaign working together breached the walls. The event was called the "Woolwich Walk".

Our Club has always supported the local community together with international projects. Look at the links from this page to the various sections of the Club to gain an insight on our support.Rotary is about fellowship, regular meetings are held at Charlton Athletic Football where members enjoy meeting and talking together . Our meetings are held on Mondays 6.30pm for 7pm and include a meal and most times a speaker on a variety of topics. Membership of Rotary all over the world is by invitation, once a member you will be welcome at all Clubs over the world. Club membership is open to Men and Women of any race and age.
