Club Programme 2019
Meet the President 2019/20
"I moved to Lindfield 5 years ago with my husband Mike Turner having lived and worked in Glasgow for 30 years. We are both University Professors and moved to Sussex for work and to be closer to our 2 daughters. I joined Rotary in 2015 and have chaired the Community and Vocational committee for the past 3 years. I am delighted to be elected to take on the Presidency this year.
We are a strong Club and currently have 43 members. The 2020 Rotary theme "Rotary Connects the World" aligns well with our Club. We connect at local, national and international levels through i) supporting a range of community activities including running events at Village Days ii) delivering projects such as renovating gardens at Langley Green mental health hospital iii) working with local schools in national competitions and iv) carrying out international projects such as supporting a teacher in Haiti.
The atmosphere at our meetings is welcoming and friendly. We are from a range of professional backgrounds and we enjoy lively discussions cemented by a desire to support and serve our communities.
We meet weekly and are always looking for new members. If you wish to put something back into the community, we can offer you an enjoyable and stimulating way of doing so. You will be made very welcome if you wish to attend one of our meetings."

Weather or not to hold a BBQ
The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning stating that rain and strong winds could bring some localised disruption to West Sussex.
Luckily, it did not rain in the evening but some table cloths were not used due to the strong winds.
However, the BBQ was a fantastic success. "Great food, wine and beer along with stunning views and great company. The only thing that was missing was a bit of Sussex warmth and sunshine."
Big thanks go to all the helpers and to Alan and Liz Robinson for hosting the event at Park Farm.
What a year it's been!
