KENILWORTH ROTARY: serving communities locally, nationally and internationally

Welcome to our new website, we would like to introduce ourselves:

We are a group of positive men and women who want to make a difference, we come from a wide range of backgrounds and age groups. Some of us joined as individual members, others as Associate or Corporate members.  Some have been members for many years, others have joined more recently and our club continues to grow and adapt.

Our aim:

To be a force for good in and around Kenilworth, always upholding high ethical standards, playing our part locally, nationally and internationally

  • We seek to develop the area and our community
  • We work with others to maximise our positive impact
  • We support each other, respecting differences and adapting to the modern world

What we do:

Projects and activities

organised through committees and project teams.

Local Community

transporting the visually impaired, mentoring the young, Two Castles Run, Tiny Tim’s Children’s Centre, Group Study exchange visits, supporting Kenilworth Scouts, and others.

International

End Polio Now, Shelter Boxes to disaster areas, Guatemala Literacy Project, Ebola Recovery in Africa, Mlambe, Sand Dams to retain water in Africa, amongst others.

Youth

we have close links with Kenilworth School who have an Interact (‘junior Rotary’) club.  Activities include mentoring the young and involvement in Rotary competitions such as Young Musicians, Youth Speak, etc.

Social and Networking

regular meetings and networking: a choice of two meeting times to suit the various needs of members.  Social events: Chinese New Year, Music Recitals, cultural visits, etc. It’s Fun!

We are a friendly and welcoming group of people.  There is something in the Club for everyone - each member’s priorities are different. Some of us favour ‘rolling our sleeves up’ to work on local projects; some like the social aspects of our meetings; others enjoy the responsibility of organising the Club; whilst others are motivated by Rotary activities across the area and more widely.

To find out more about our activities and organisation, please visit our  ‘what we do’ section of the website

When we get together:

We have two meeting options to suit the differing needs of members.  Guests are very welcome to come along to any of our meetings.

Monday Meetings:

more traditional Rotary meetings comprising a meal usually followed by a speaker.   This is an opportunity to spend time with wider club membership including many of our long-standing members.   These meetings are held each Monday (except the third week of each month) at the Holiday Inn in Kenilworth, 6.30 for 7pm.

Thursday early evening, monthly:

this shorter early evening meeting is ideal for corporate and working members who have limited time.  We meet every third Thursday in the month in an informal and project focused environment. Our aim is to ‘get things done’ in an enjoyable way whilst respecting the time limitations of working people.   This forum also includes some joint projects with business and the Kenilworth School Interact Club (‘junior’ Rotary).

We look forward to meeting you soon!
