David Horn a great curler came along and gave a talk on how he got into curling and became the rink manager for The Waterfront. He has just taken part in Gourock Curling Clubs 150 anniversary bonspiel which attracted clubs from Europe as well as Britain. Curling is a Scottish born sport dating back to warring  Scottish clans in the 16th century, or so he said! He went on to give a very humorous talk on how clans started throwing stone at each other when the river frose over and they could cross into each others territory. From this early curling developed with one major rule-Get Out Of The Way, Fast.
