Rotary Club of Tynedale’s President’s Night October 14th 2017.
There was a double celebration on the night. Firstly to support our new President Edith Curry. Secondly to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the club’s founding.
The setting was the award-winning Bouchon Bistrot in Gilesgate Hexham, where a delicious meal of french cuisine was served. President Edith was surrounded by the club members with partners, her personal guests and guests from other clubs and the Rotary 1030 District.
In her address President Edith emphasised how pleased she was to have been accepted so readily into the local community after her move from her home in Germany. She said that had been reinforced by her being welcomed into RC of Tynedale and now becoming its first woman President. She outlined the work and donations made by the Club and its commitment to Making a Difference where needed, both locally and internationally.
If YOU would like to help President Edith Make a Difference consider joining our Club. Contact us via the Rotary Club of Tynedale webpage or Facebook page.
