Youth Activities

Initiatives which benefit and celebrate the achievements of Young People.

Crompton & Royton Rotary Club works with schools and youth groups offering opportunities to develop young people's skills, celebrating their talents and co-operating on community and international projects.

The club has for many years supported Crompton & Royton Scout District 5-a-side Football Competition, and has been closely involved with the Rotary District Summer Camp.

Initiatives with local secondary schools have involved the club providing Mock Interviews and supporting Excitement of Science visits, Student of the Year and more recently the Rotary International in Great Britain & Ireland (Rotary GB&I) Young Chef competition. In the future we would like to develop this further with involvement of schools or individuals in other Rotary GB&I competitions such as Youth Speaks and Young Musician.

Young people have in turn supported a number of Rotary projects such as providing Shoeboxes for Eastern Europe, raising money for ShelterBox and helping with the Christmas Cash Collection for local charities.

Please contact us if you would like further information about Rotary initiatives for young people.
