Community and Vocational Service Committee

Looks for ways the Club can support the local community.

This years activities include:

In the past we have supported the following amongst others:

a. Kids Out. A national initiative providing a day out for children on a specific day in

Summer. 

b. Riding for the Disabled.

c. Local Food Bank. 

d. First Responders providing finance for equipment.

e. for Young Carers. 

f. As You Like it Club. A committee initiative to host an annual lunch for members of the upon club for people with seeing disabilities.

g. SWEEP. A committee initiative to help with the cleaning of the river and canal through the town, requiring volunteers from the whole of the club membership to help periodically with collecting refuse from the river and canals from the deck of the SWEEP narrowboat. This can end with a sandwich and pint from one of the fine canal side pubs on route!
