Oct 2015 Memory Cafe - Help light up a smile
Fri 2nd October 2015 at 10.00 - 12.00
The Memory Cafe welcomes All. A warm welcome for people with dementia or other problems associated memory loss (and their families / carers). Our fifty-sixth monthly event. Theme - Cockney Music Hall.
This month on a beautiful sunny autumn day our theme was Cockney Music Hall. We were lucky enough to have, as guest singers, members of the Girton Operatic group who entertained us with lovely songs such as 'A Nightingale Sang in Berkely Square' and 'When I'm Cleaning Windows'. Our resident troupe got dressed up in flat caps and straw hats and sang some lively choruses of such ditties as 'Swanee River' and 'Daisy Daisy'. The cakes and drinks provided were splendid and daintily decorated - such a treat.
See you next Month !
Doors Open 10.00am - 12.00pm on the first Friday morning of each month.
