                                                    Information on Event

There is a Rugby bias, with the main speaker being Johan Ackermann after a din-ner has been served.

- The MC will be Simon Devereux of BBC Radio Gloucestershire, who will run a

Q & A session with Johan and players from the club.

- We shall then draw a lottery for the winner of the 50th Defibrillator - one of the Junior Rugby Clubs within the Gloucestershire Community.

-Steve Knibbs of BBC Television will then interview a chap who suffered Sud-den Cardiac Arrest and whose live was saved by the prompt application of CPR by his daughter and her schoolfriend whilst awaiting arrival of the Emergency Para-medic Crew of SWAST. The two young ladies will then receive awards for their bravery. This will be televised by the BBC and broadcast subsequently.

This will bring home exactly the message that Kevin Dickens and I want to be picked up by all in the community - "what one needs to do swiftly to save a life".

We are aiming for an evening of interest and jollity, that will include a raffle to raise funds for Defibrillator No. 51. The evening will be closed by the CEO of SWAST, Mr Ken Wenham and also the Rotary District 1100 Governor, Mrs Joan Goldsmith. They will commit to the continuance of partnership between Rotary in Gloucestershire and SWAST with the objective of working with our local communi-ties to save lives.
