Dinning In Night - EVENING MEETING

Our meeting was rescheduled as an Evening meeting - President’s Dining In Night – speaker David Tidmarsh.
Club Dinning In Night
President Brion Purdy reverted the "Club Dining In Night" to
its military origins of the officer dining with his "men" by making it members
only. Our guest speaker was John Tidmarsh OBE. John entertained us with tales
of his career of 52 years in journalism and the BBC. Surprisingly this had a
local element when he explained that he covered Winston Churchill and General
Montgomery both members of the Hastings Winkle club. He also revealed that his
grand parents lived in Bexhill where he remembered with fond memories that on 3rd
