High Peak Mayor, Tony Bingham, accompanied by Deputy Mayoress, Mary Bingham, saw 65 people set off from Burbage Institute on a circular sponsored walk into the Goyt Valley on Sunday 14 June.
The walk was jointly organised by the Buxton Rotary and Inner Wheel Clubs to raise funds for School 4 All in Africa - a mainstream education access project for 1,000 disabled Ugandan children, via Leonard Cheshire Disability partnership with Rotary in Great Britain and Ireland (Rotary GB&I). Sadly, prejudice in the developing world against disabled children leads to 98% of them being excluded from school.
