The Rotary Club of Bishop’s Stortford Schools’ Quiz Competition 2009

The semi-finals and final of the Rotary Club of Bishop’s Stortford’s annual shools’ quiz competition was held on Monday 16 March at the Bishop’s Stortford College’s Ferguson Lecture Centre.  Students from years 9-11 took part in an excellent competition and acquitted themselves very well.

The semi-finals were contested by;

The Bishop’s Stortford High School 2 (180 points) v Bishop’s Stortford College 1 (330 points)

 Hockerill Anglo European College (210 points) v Bishop’s Stortford College 2 (280 points)

The final between the two teams from Bishop’s Stortford College was well fought with BSC 1 eventually beating their college rivals by 300 points to 200.

The event was well attended by parents and Rotarians who enjoyed a splendid evening’s entertainment witnessing these young people answering the varied questions set by quizmaster, Rotarian David Steels, who was accompanied by time keeper Rtn. Deborah Pitt and scorers Lynn Rutt and Rtn. David Green.
