PP Nigel Dobson and Treasurer Ian Jarritt count the monies donated anonymously by a very generous person. A box of "small change" was delivered to the Liverpool Arms - when counted, this small change added up to in excess of £1200. Thank you - this money will be used immediately to buy Aquaboxes that will be sent to Haiti.
Update 25th January 2010
Monies are still being donated and to date around £6000 has been donated to this cause. An immediate payment of £4000 has already been made to Aquabox and the boxes bought have been shipped already to Haiti. Further funds are urgently needed as the situation in Haiti is still extremely bad and people urgently need clean water and sanitation.
Update 15th February 2010
Thanks to the generousity of the Isle of Man population, donations sent to Aquabox to help the citizens of Haiti now stand at £8,500.
Any donations - please send to Onchan Rotary Club c/o Nigel Dobson at the Liverpool Arms Hotel, Baldrine.
