St Georges Dinner

We had 25 guests and rotarians at our St Georges dinner in a dining room suitably dressed for the occassion, which was more than could be said for the diners who turned up in a mix of formal and informal apparel. Nevertheless we were treated to a sparkling speech by PP Dave Cooksey from our mother club, about the origins of St George and the present day Royal Society of St George. A speech liberally sprinkled with humorous anecdotes and stories which was well received by all after dining on a delicious, traditional roast beef dinner.
