Inverkeithing High School Concert

More than 250 relatives, friends and music lovers enjoyed the annual Spring Concert organised jointly by the music department of Inverkeithing High School and the  Rotary Club of Inverkeithing and Dalgety Bay on  Monday evening. The High School audience was treated to pieces ranging from  Van Morrison's  Brown Eyed Girl to Stars from Les Miserables and Offenbach's Can Can, all played by students from the school's various music groups. The 100 or so students entertained with jazz, Scottish fiddle music and pieces from the school's award winning percussionists and wind band – both groups having excelled at the recent Fife Music Festival. The concert raised more than  £1,200, to be divided between the school's music department and the Rotary Club's End Polio Now campaign which aims to eliminate polio from the four countries -  India, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Nigeria - where it remains endemic.
