Rotary Young Entertainer

Highlights from the 2010 Rotary Young Entertainer, proudly presented by The Rotary Club of Coventry Jubilee

14 performers from 9 schools took part in Coventry's first inter-school talent competition on Tuesday 27th April at the Warwick Arts Centre. Performers took to the stage to perform in front of a panel of judges and an amazing audience at the centre. The show was presented by Brody Swain from Touch Radio who done an amazing job of jeering the audience to support the acts.

There were performances from Coundon Court, Westwood, Woodlands, King Henry VIII, Pattisons, Finham Park, Stoke Park, Ernesford Grange and Lyng Hall. They acts included extracts from musicals, soloists, duets, dancers & musicians.

This was the first time that a competition of this kind had taken part in Coventry and the Rotary Club of Coventry Jubilee were very proud to produce it.

The Judges winner was Bella Martin-Williams who took away the winning trophy for herself and the school trophy to take back to her school, this will be bought back for next years event.

In addition to the Judges vote we have an Audience vote, this gave the audience the chance to have their say, Daniel Brennan who performed "Walking in the Air" by "Snowman" scooped the prize.

All in all a very successful evening, feedback of being slick, professional and all round an exceptional night are just some of the comments that we have received. At the end of the show we had chanting from the students pleading for us to repeat the competition in 2011.
