Rotary Club of Bishop's Stortford Senior Citizens' Outing
On Thursday 26 May the Rotary Club of Bishop's Stortford held its annual Senior Citizens outing. Some 75 'guests' were taken on a drive into the countryside by club members, visiting many different locations. It is always a pleasure to see our friends enjoying the guided tour, experiencing places that, for some, conjure up such lovely memories.
After an hour of sightseeing it was back to Bishop's Stortford College for a very appetising buffet supplied by Rtn. Alan Beere and his catering staff. During the buffet entertainment was provided by Rtn. Margaret Webb, of the Harlow club and her singing partner, Richard Price who delighted everyone with a selection of songs from past decades.
It was a really enjoyable occasion for all concerned whether guests or rotarians. As Henry Hall used to say at the end of his radio show "Here's to the next time".
