ROTARIANS HELP OUT!
"On Sunday 27th July, Arthritis Research were organising a 'sponsored walk' up and down Snowdon when they realized they did not have enough Marshals to maintain a reasonable standard of safety for the hundred walkers. Conwy Rotarians stepped in to assist, enabling the walk to proceed.
Here we have a snap of our three intrepid mountaineers Gwenda 'Clogwen' LloydDavies, David 'Sherpa' Smith, David 'Steam' North, after all the exhaustion, with walk organiser Ruth Owen of Arthritis Research. We received a very nice letter from Ruth thanking the trio in assisting her raise £7,000 for Research."
Mr North's comments about standing at Clogwen for 5-6 hours in the cold and wet are available to those interested in research of the English language.
