Home | What we do locally | Garden update at Freeman Court

Members of the club spent time at Freeman Court finishing off their garden by adding paving and a lawn

A working bee of members descended on Freeman Court in the early hours of Thursday 29th July to provide a paved and turfed garden area for residents to enjoy the rest of the summer weather.

Paving slabs donated by Laindon based company PGR were expertly laid by Luke Wallace under the watchful eye of Dad, Pat, followed by turf to both sides.

The fixed table was extended to make it within easy reach of the fixed bench and even the drain was unblocked. Many hands certainly made light work and the residents showed their appreciation by providing copious amounts of tea and bacon sandwiches.

A thorough watering of the new turf and a sweep of the deck brought efforts to an end with a satisfactory transformation.  Indeed a job well done for part of our community.  Many thanks to all who turned up to help.
