Mayor of Havering visit to Club

Councillor Pam Light made her first visit to the Rotary Club of Hornchurch & Upminster when she came to a Club meeting and lunch on Thursday 12th August.  Pam Light talked enthusiastically about her role as Mayor and how glad she was to help local schools and voluntary organisations, such as Rotary, which do such good in the community. She has proved her enthusiasm by kindly agreeing to launch the Rotary Club's annual Sponsored Walk which is being held at a local beauty spot in the Langdon Hills just east of Havering on Sunday 5th September. 
The Club's Sponsored Walk has supported St Francis Hospice with the moneys raised at the Sponsored Walks for 15 years - and 2010 will be the 16th year!  Last year the Club raised

The enjoyment of a meal shared by all is an important aspect of the Rotary meetings. Our venue provides a meeting menu but other options are available on request to cater for individual needs.
