Money for Clean Water goes to Lifestraws

The plight of the people of Pakistan following the worst floods to hit the country for 80 years prompted Rotarians from the Thornhill and District Club to set aside funds for the purchase of Lifestraws. Lifestraws allow a person to drink surface water which would otherwise be unsafe to drink. Over 11,000 Lifestraws funded by Rotary Clubs throughout the UK have been sent to Pakistan in recent weeks. Each straw is capable of providing safe drinking water for a person for up to one year from issue.
