Walking Group Go Munro Bagging

Sun, Sep 26th 2010 at 12:00 am - 2:00 am

The Walking Group took the High Road to Loch Tay on Sunday (Sept 26th) to attempt an ascent on Britain's 11th highest mountain, Ben Lawers.

Weather conditions were perfect with a cloudless sky and no wind, allowing walkers spectacular views as they savoured lunch at the 3,983ft summit.

Despite a leisurely Summer sailing round the Balearics, senior Walking Group member, Martin Yuill was first to the top and first back to the car park.

Liquid refreshments were enjoyed at the Killin Hotel before returning to Lanark

A video record of the climb is available to view at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJSssEL65BE
