Rotary Young Chef

Young people (under 18 on 31 Aug 2010) prepared, cooked and served a three course meal for two people at an ingredient cost of not more than £15 at Impington Village College at 1.00pm.


The winner was Ammi Aslett with her menu of :-
Cream of Carrot and orange soup garnished with a drizzle of cream and chopped chives and served with garlic croutons
Lamb cutlets with balsamic and sesame seeds served with creamed mustard leeks and roast sweet potatoes
Lemon Posset served wih spiced shortbread and fresh raspberries.

Ammi will now compete in the District final at West Suffolk College on 12th February 2011.

South Cambridge Rotary Young Chef

more The Netherhall Boys team came out worthy winners with their subject "Fast cars are no good on today's roads".

more A range of events and activities which include public speaking, young chef and fun for those with disabilities are planned.

Youth Speaks for school years 7-9

more 8 teams of three from 6 Cambridge and local Village Colleges participated. The winners were St Bede's girls team with the Perse Girls school team runners up.
