The weekly meeting was 'all at sea' for a time as Past President Bryan Tomlinson recalled the fateful voyage of El Grifon, a Spanish Armada vessel that came to grief on Fair Isle in 1588. Subsequent trials and tribulations brought its captain, Juan Gomez de Medina, and many survivors ashore at Anstruther.
