"Salty Tales"

A talk by our own Bob Wilson.

This was our first meeting after the summer holiday. During the summer recess though, the Club had not been idle. Many members had played a great part in the Tall Ships Race when they were berthed in Greenock, contributing to the overall success of the whole event. A very successful charity collection had also been carried out on the Wymess Bay to Rothsay ferry. Both these events are more fully described in the events section. This evening, we were pleased to welcome a talk by our very own "new guy", Bob Wilson. Entitled "Salty Tales", it recounted his time with the Royal Maritime Auxilliary Service as Master of the vessel Sawmoor and all of us found it most interesting.
