Home | Fellowship | Blaize Trailers Walk 26th July 2011

Tue Aug 23rd 2011
This Trailers was a walk in the Washburn Valley. I expected a total of about 7 miles. Not too strenuous, although in order to avoid a very steep climb though a wood, we walked up a country lane for some distance.
Herewith a short report on today's walk.  Sorry, no pictures as only one of the usual photographers was walking and he forgot his camera!

Seven of us walked in the picturesque Washburn valley and we were joined by 2 more (Messrs Arthur and Moxon) for lunch at The Sun Inn, Norwood.  Portions were enormous and, of course, not a drop of beer was drunk!

Due to a diversion to avoid a very steep incline, we walked 5.6 miles in the morning, rather than the 5 miles I anticipated, and 2.4 miles in the afternoon, so 8 miles in total.

We were blessed with good weather throughout the walk.

Regards,

John Watson
