Rotary & Civic Dignitaries Visit WBTRC

On Monday 3 October, WBTRC welcomed Rotary District Governor Martin Greaves, his wife Ann and WB Mayor, Councillor Paul Heaphy (seen below with Club President Stephen Walls) to a supper evening at the Marsh Farm Hotel. After supper, Paul spoke about his chosen Mayoral Charity for the year and explained how Great Ormond Street Hospital had been selected after presentations by all the schools in Wootton Bassett.  Then Martin spoke with great candour about the challenges of bringing up a child with learning difficulties. This was Martin's 'official' visit to the Club and it was a refreshing departure from the normal "sermon from the (district) mount" (well I thought so!).
